i don't know if other lion_lambers are familiar with the term, but a 'temp score' or 'temp soundtrack' is something the director or music supervisor creates, and gives to the artists that'll put the albums together as a template for their work. it provides them with a theme or sense of intent, so that they can then write their music accordingly. Comments @ the Weitz/Desplat Billboard Music Conference thead gave me inspiration to open this. I've been kind of noticing things for a while now and I think they can be useful for some confrontation in this fandom.
